Aussie Sprinkler & Backflow is a family-owned, locally operated irrigation company based in Caldwell, Idaho. Inspired by the challenges of sprinkler systems—and by our Australian Shepherd, Maple—we offer expert sprinkler and backflow services to homeowners in Caldwell, Nampa, Middleton, and across the Treasure Valley. Our business began in 2019 when founder Grady Sousa co-owned a landscape and sprinkler company. In 2024, he launched Aussie Sprinkler & Backflow to focus exclusively on irrigation systems and bring his expertise directly to our community.

Grady Sousa
OWNERGrady Sousa is the founder of Aussie Sprinkler & Backflow. With years of experience in irrigation and a certification as a backflow assembly tester, Grady brings both technical expertise and a passion for solving sprinkler system challenges. Before launching Aussie Sprinkler & Backflow in 2024, he co-owned and operated a landscaping and sprinkler company in Caldwell from 2019 to 2023. Grady’s favorite projects are full system audits, where he can dig into the details, diagnose problems, and recommend upgrades that save homeowners time, water, and money. He takes pride in delivering work that meets or exceeds industry standards, and he values strong, long-term relationships with clients. When he’s not working, Grady enjoys life in Caldwell with his wife, Carissa, and their two dogs, Maple and Moose. Together they spend time gardening, swimming in the summer, and gathering with family for Sunday dinners and game nights.
Maple
MascotMaple, our Australian Shepherd, has been Grady’s loyal sidekick for more than six years and is the heart behind the Aussie Sprinkler & Backflow name. She loves tagging along to job sites, meeting clients, and keeping a watchful eye from the truck window during commutes. While Maple is always eager to greet new friends, she’s just as happy staying home with Moose, our chocolate lab, when a quieter day is needed. Known for chasing lasers, herding Moose around the yard, and enjoying garden veggies, Maple embodies the energy and loyalty we bring to our work every day.
